About me professionally
An audio visual and collaboration specialist with over 40 years’ experience of working in professional AV provision, 33 of which I have been at Visavvi. I’m focused on spending time with clients to really understand their business challenges and goals. Only by doing that early in relationships can I get a real insight into what technologies, solutions and services can help my clients businesses move forward.
The technology evolution and changes I’ve seen in those 40 years have been tremendous and only by being immersed in it technically day in day out can I keep learning and developing professionally which ultimately benefits my clients.
Some of my career highlights have included…
Working with multiple UK universities to ensure their teaching, learning and meeting spaces are highly effective, reliable and provide world class facilities for academics and students. This has included deploying Europe’s first large scale LED video wall into a lecture theatre.
I was proud to work on a very large deployment of Microsoft Teams Room solutions during lockdown for a prestigious university which ensured they could continue to provide lectures to remote students.
I work in very close partnership with advanced aerospace manufacturer providing cutting edge meeting, training and communication and collaboration facilities that enable them to operate around the globe.
I’m passionate about the solutions we develop / provide that enable huge improvements in the way our clients operate and to help them overcome business challenges.
About me personally
In my spare time I’m an avid runner and still participate in 5 a side football when possible. (or capable!!)
I am proud of my Yorkshire routes and have lived in Yorkshire all my life, though the accounts I manage mean I have travelled around the UK a lot included as far north a Lossiemouth.
I am a Liverpool supporter and also follow my local team Bradford City, which does provide a bit of a contrast! I also love to watch Yorkshire Cricket Club when I can.
