About me professionally
With over 36 years of experience in the AV and UC industry I have a passion for delivering customer service that exceeds expectations and developing an amazing team of people here at Visavvi.
Having started at the business on the Youth Training Scheme as a warehouse assistant, I have worked in many areas of the business, developing a wide range of skills and experience that are invaluable to me in my current role as Managing Director.
I have maintained a long-term interest in the technology we use, and although I spend more time on business strategy now, I am always keen to learn about the latest developments in the industry and how this is helping us to deliver solutions to our clients which transform their businesses.
About me personally
I spend as much of my spare time as I can with my family, we love to travel both close to home and further afield, especially if there is a theme park involved. During the COVID lock down we followed the trend and brought Rosie the Beagle, our first ever dog into the family and 18 months later, we cannot imagine being without her and she has been responsible for a huge increase in our daily steps count.
My interest in technology continues at home, including Apple computers and home cinema – I spend a lot of time tinkering with both.
Other hobbies include anything to do with boats (from very small boats up to cruise ships) and a passion for sport, especially Leeds United football and Yorkshire cricket who I follow through their (occasional) good times and (regular) bad times alike.
