University AV install secures another award

Congratulations!

We are incredibly pleased to hear the news that FaulknerBrowns Architects and Galliford Try Construction have won a prestigious Royal Institute of British Architects North East and National design award for their work on a new build project at Durham University.

When we partnered with our long-standing client Durham University to design and install an innovative and leading AV environment for their new £40m Lower Mountjoy Teaching and Learning Centre, we just knew it was going to be something special. The extensive AV over IP network comprising over 19,500 network managed inputs and outputs had already won AV Technology Europe’s coveted Education Project of the Year award in 2020 for its ground breaking design.

See the full case study and take a virtual tour of this award-winning environment.

It’s been arguably the most ambitious IT development project the University has ever undertaken. We have a real flagship development, not just for Durham, not just for the UK higher education market, but globally. We couldn’t have done that without the expertise and professionalism of the Visavvi team.
