Your new card

Your new card already has many benefits over the traditional paper-based card and further enhancements are planned moving forward.

Your card contains:

  • photograph
  • key contact information
  • a brief personal bio
  • links to social media profiles
  • Visavvi website link
  • a link to a personalised ‘a little more about me landing page’
  • Microsoft Teams chat and video call link
  • Visavvi case study link
  • Enquiry/contact exchange card

Further enhancements are planned to include:

  • CRM and DTools integration
  • possible calendar sharing and meeting booking
  • dual management capabilities
  • usage analytics
  • client usage tracking of information accessed

In addition to your Smart Business card you will be issued with an NFC tag. This small self-adhesive tag can be fixed to the back of your phone and used in a similar manner to the card.

The cards are centrally managed by IT and any issue should be raised in the usual way by emailing ITsupport@visavvi.com with the subject Business Card.

Each card is equipped with Near Field Communication (NFC) and a QR code. They are compatible with Apple and Android phones. Older client devices may not have NFC capabilities, and this is when you should use the QR code capabilities.

To share your details with a client

NFC

  • Simply tap your cards/tag against the rear of the recipient’s phone
  • An NFC notification will appear on the screen, click open to reveal your contact information
  • Encourage the client to bookmark the page so they can revisit it and to save your information via the Save as contact button.

Your details will then be stored as a contact on the client phone

QR code

  • Ask your client to open the camera app on their phone.
  • Show the QR code to the camera
  • An NFC notification will appear on the screen, click open to reveal your contact information

Encourage the client to bookmark the page so they can revisit it and to save your information via the Save as contact button.

Your details will then be stored as a contact on the client phone.

To collect your clients contact details

After your client has saved your contact details ask them to click the Enquiry button (this will change later to say exchange contact) and have them enter their details and press send message

You should then receive an email containing their contact card for you to save on your phone.

Microsoft Teams Chat and video dialling

Your client can initiate a Microsoft Teams chat or videocall direct from your information page. This only works if they have their own Teams account setup on their device.

To start a chat session with you the client should scroll down the screen and press chat to me on Teams button

To start a video call with you the client must scroll down the screen and press the call me on Teams button

This then opens the teams app and initiates the call.

Further enhancements are planned as outlined earlier however if you have any other suggestions for improving the cards, please contact David Willie.
